The most important part of our affiliate program is that all affiliates must agree to be transparent with any visitors you send to Priority Wine Pass or Priority Experiences. We require that you be honest with visitors and provide unbiased, up-to-date information. We understand that things change frequently with wineries and wine businesses, so if you have any questions or if you see something off on our website, please let us know. Our goal is to provide your visitors with meaningful content above sales and everything else. We also appreciate the time, effort, and investment that goes into creating and hosting content that drives people to our website. That’s why we want to make sure you are appropriately rewarded whenever your visitors transact.
Referrals
Referrals are awarded based on the coupon code that is used during checkout. This is a failsafe in case the tracking code is left out when linking to prioritywinepass.com. The tracking code ensures referrals are rewarded even if a customer visits our website directly or through another device without clicking any links that include tracking. Therefore, we recommend affiliates use both the coupon code and the tracking code when linking to our website. Referrals are paid out at the start of the subsequent month, but we reserve the right to extend the period in order to properly review sales and validate attribution. Affiliates must be able to receive payouts via PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo. Referrals are only paid out to “completed” and “processing” orders. Any referrals on orders that are refunded, canceled, on-hold, or incomplete will be rejected when the monthly payouts are made. If a customer refund is issued for a referral that has already been paid out, the total referral amount may be deducted from the subsequent month’s payout.
Tracking Code
Tracking codes can be found by logging into the affiliate area and looking for the “Your referral URL is:” section in the Affiliate URLs tab. Whenever you link to Priority Wine Pass (including links to any custom landing pages we set up for you) we recommend that you include the tracking ID as well. To do this, add “ref/[Your affiliate ID]” to the end of any URL on our website. For example, if you are linking to our homepage and your affiliate ID is 1, you should use the following link and tracking ID: https://prioritywinepass.com/ref/1/ if you would like to link to our blog, that would be https://prioritywinepass.com/blog/ref/1. Feel free to use the Referral URL Generator in the Affiliate area to help simplify this process.
Attribution
Coupons take precedent in terms of attribution. If no affiliate coupon is used or a promotional coupon generated by Priority Wine Pass is used, attribution will be rewarded based on the tracking ID. The tracking ID is valid for 30 days and is attributed on a last click basis— That is the last referral link that is clicked prior to a sale is rewarded.
Tracking code example scenarios:
Imagine there are two affiliates: A1 and A2.
If a customer clicks A1’s tracking link and enters A1’s coupon code during checkout, the sale will be attributed to A1
If a customer clicks A1’s tracking link and doesn’t enter a coupon code during checkout, the sale will be attributed to A1
If a customer clicks A1’s tracking link and enters a Priority Wine Pass promotional coupon code during checkout, the sale will be attributed to A1
If a customer doesn’t click any tracking link but enters A1’s coupon code during checkout, the sale will be attributed to A1
If a customer clicks A1’s tracking link and 29 days later visits prioritywinepass.com directly, and does not enter a coupon code during checkout, the sale will be attributed to A1 (so long as the customer hasn’t cleared their cookies or is using incognito mode)
If a customer clicks A1’s tracking link and enters A2’s coupon code during checkout, the sale will be attributed to A2
If a customer clicks a link without tracking and doesn’t enter any coupon code, the sale will not be attributed to anyone and no referral will be rewarded
