Start the day off right by celebrating dad at Davies Vineyard with some sparkling wine. We recommend the Scrhamsberg Sparkling as your breakfast bubbly since your wine pass will get you a complimentary upgrade to the combination tasting when you purchase. If sparkling isn’t his thing, the same goes for the Davie’s Pinot. All said, this will save you $45, but you’ll need to make a reservation!
Next, it’s time to brush up on your history by visiting California’s oldest continually operating winery— Beringer. Enjoy this spectacular property while treating dad to the historic tasting. We promise he’ll love the wine and the fact that you’re showing fiscal responsibility by saving $25 with your 2 for 1 Priority Wine Pass discount. By this point, you’re probably going to be getting a little hungry. Well, don’t worry, Beringer is also hosting a special father’s day bbq with live music so you can chow down and enjoy the show.
Our next recommendation is to head out to the countryside. Napa in the summertime is best experienced outdoors and there is no better place to take in the rolling hills than at Maxville Estate Winery. This property is a bit off the beaten path, but if you’re willing to make the trip, you’ll be happy you did. The tasting room itself is modern and spacious and offers pristine views over a nearby lake. You can hang out on the patio, play some corn hole or ladder golf, and throw back some tasty varietals with pops. The Priority Wine Pass will save you $65 with a 2 for 1 special, but you’ll have to make a reservation. You’ll likely want to relax here for the remainder of the afternoon so before you go, we recommend you pick up a to-go box from Dean and Deluca so you have some snacks to munch on as the sun sets.
Once dinner comes along, it’s time to treat dad to something killer. We recommend heading over to Bounty Hunter in downtown Napa and trying their beer can chicken. This dish is hands down awesome and the perfect topping to a great day.
If you guys are still rolling after dinner you can take a stroll over to the Culinary Institute of America where they are having a free screening of The Big Lebowski! We promised it will really tie the whole day together.
