List of Sonoma wineries open now!

Published: 5/26/2020

Some Sonoma County wineries open as the county enters phase 2 of losening its lockdown restrictions. It is important to stress that these are partial reopenings and only include approved establishments with food wine pairings. Wineries also have agreed to limited capaicty and heightened sanitary safeguards, among other things.

Things change on a daily basis so we encourage you to check directly with each business before you visit. Most importantly, please be safe. We recommend you follow the CDC, state, and local advice. Additionally we encourage you to wash your hands, keep your distance, and follow winery policies. We know that everyone is a bit stir crazy, but please taste responsibly since no one wants another lockdown after the one we just had.

We’ve also collected a list of other reopened wineries in other regions.

They are offering a Seated Tasting Experience, which will include a themed boxed lunch (as will all of our experiences currently). The Tasting is $30 per person and the boxed lunch is $25 per person, which is currently required. They are pairing up with various local restaurants each week, with a food pairing menu which will be changing weekly based on that. You can find their weekly menu on their website.

They are also offering a more private experience on their Winemaker’s Perch. You are reserved the entire private space overlooking the Estate and start with a brief vineyard tour. Then, customize your bottles of wine to enjoy, and take what’s left home with you. The perch is the best kept secret at Cast. Private and shaded, relax on the couches while overlooking the vineyards.

Wine Club Members are reserved Adirondacks on their Member Terrace to take in some of the best views on the CAST Estate and select their favorite CAST wines to enjoy by the bottle. Their member pricing will be applied towards the bottle purchases and boxed lunch.

Six Sigma

Six Sigma technically isn’t open in the same sense as the others, but we liked their inventiveness the best!

Currently they are welcoming people to hike or bike on their property. These are some world-class trails located in the beautiful hills of Sonoma County. While the tasting room has technically remained closed you can still buy wine, ranch-raised meat, and local cheeses to-go. They describe it working like “an old-fashioned grocery store” which we love

On top of that they also provide a series of downloadable hiking and biking tours for you to enjoy. Visit their website to learn more and like all the wineries on our list, make sure you call them before you show up. You’ll also have to sign a liability waiver beforehand so please check with them.
