Thomas Bougetz is the winemaker behind Bougetz Cellars. Creating a truly special wine requires spending plenty of time in the vineyards, working closely with the vineyard team. Our wines focus on individual AVAs, or regions in Napa Valley, with the intention of displaying the strengths and unique characteristics of each region. We source from valley floor vineyards in Rutherford and Oakville, as well as mountain/hillside vineyards on Spring Mountain, Prichard Hill and Coombsville.

Joan and Thomas met while in college at Iowa State University. Upon completing college, Joan joined Tom in Seattle, Washington and she began her 30-year career in property management. She worked for a few national firms overseeing commercial/residential real estate throughout the entire western United States. The interest and passion for wine started in Seattle, and she ventured to wine regions throughout the US, as well as many abroad. While Joan did not pursue a career in the wine business, she has had her hand in the business from the start as well as taking a lead in hosting events around the country,
