Celaeno Winery is a small, unpretentious family-owned boutique winery located in Woodinville, Washington. Operated by winemaker Brian Countryman, the tasting room is known for its highly relaxed, eccentric vibe where visitors can sample unique varietals while the winemaker spins vintage vinyl records from the 1950s through the 1980s.
Celaeno positions itself as a winery focused on “making new rules… and then breaking them.” Their production highlights grapes sourced from selective Washington state vineyards, resulting in a diverse and adventurous lineup.
Our Wines
Calaeno Winery produces unique, small-batch wines from select Washington state vineyards, heavily focusing on bold single-varietal reds, distinct whites, and unusual port-style fortified wines.
Winemaker Brian Countryman breaks traditional winemaking conventions by aging his wines primarily in American oak—specifically utilizing Kentucky oak harvested from the Daniel Boone National Forest—rather than traditional French oak.
