Pamo Valley Winery, owned by winemaker Jennifer Lane, proudly holds the distinction of being the First Woman-Owned Winery in San Diego County. Nestled on Main Street in downtown Ramona, CA, it stands as the sole wine tasting room in the area, welcoming guests daily from 2 PM onwards. The family-friendly wine bar offers limited production wines for tasting or by the glass, with options for bottle or case purchases. The ambiance includes a dog-friendly atmosphere, live music on the back patio, and a unique Happy “Wine” Hour every Monday.
Established in 2004, Pamo Valley Winery has become a staple in the charming town of Ramona. The winery produces a variety of award-winning small-batch wines, reflecting the diverse grapes sourced from the Ramona AVA. Unlike other wineries in the region, Pamo Valley’s tasting room is conveniently situated in the heart of Old Town Ramona, allowing easy access to high-quality wines seven days a week. Guests can enjoy indoor seating, a spacious back patio with live music, and a front patio for people-watching.
Jennifer Lane took over operations in 2007, marking Pamo Valley Winery as the first woman-owned winery in San Diego County. The winery’s history dates back to 2000 when it started as a 500 Syrah vine vineyard overlooking Pamo Valley. Over the years, it expanded its vineyard, relocated to Ramona, and opened its original tasting room in 2011, later moving to a new building in September 2022. Committed to quality and sustainability, Pamo Valley Winery not only uses grapes from its estate but also sources from local growers, embodying a forward-focused approach to winemaking.
