There is something special about a family winery-one that crafts each bottle by hand from estate vineyards. Discover our family legacy and warm hospitality at Trinchero Napa Valley.
Come be our guest and join us for an unparalleled Napa Valley experience. Our spectacular tasting room, which opened in July of 2016, serves to honor the legacy of founder Mario Trinchero and is the culmination of 70 years of family winemaking.
While you enjoy the beauty of our property and the complexity of our estate grown single-vineyard wines, our priority is ensuring that your visit is memorable. Our knowledgeable team of Wine Ambassadors are eager to guide you, whether you would like to know more about the distinctive terroir of Napa Valley or learn about the nuances oak aging brings to wine.
Winemakers will tell you that fine wine comes from somewhere, meaning it’s the land that makes the wine, not the brand. Trinchero Napa Valley stands as a testament to that belief, its emphasis on producing and showcasing wines not shy about expressing their place of origin. Want to know what makes Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the valley floor different from Cabernet grown in the mountains? Interested in how the grapes from atop Atlas Peak on the valley’s east side compare to the grapes from atop Mt. Veeder on the valley’s west side? This is the place to discover the answers. The Trinchero family has been producing fine wine in the valley since 1948, along the way obtaining small vineyard sites in specific areas targeted for their uniqueness. They own six vineyard sites in five of the valley’s designated appellations and produce their wines in a new estate located just north of downtown St. Helena. Come explore our new tasting room that opened July of 2016. Here, the wines are showcased in a warm, inviting space where the past is honored while the present is celebrated. Mario Trinchero arrived in Napa Valley from New York City in 1948 and began laying the foundation that today supports one of the most successful family wine businesses in the nation. 70 years later, Trinchero Napa Valley serves as a beacon, heralding both our roots and our future in the Napa Valley. Our wines reflect our most pristine, estate-grown grapes, thoughtfully tended in the vineyard and ultimately hand-picked and scrupulously hand-sorted in the cellar. Hundreds of small steps are taken every day to ensure we create truly unique wines, handcrafted with care and integrity. We focus on small-lot winemaking, with unwavering attention to detail, to yield luxury wines that embody quality and dedication to the craft. Winemaker Mario Monticelli guides each wine every step of the way.
