So you’ve found the perfect winery and you’re ready to move forward with a virtual tasting. Here are a few things to keep in mind just so that we can manage expectations and make sure you are prepared for your virtual wine tasting event.
Collect Shipment details ASAP
Since some of the wineries have shipping restrictions in different states, it’s important that you confirm all of your shipping locations as soon as possible. We have noticed that one of the most common things that causes delays or the need to reschedule is not receiving shipping details in a time. So if you haven’t done so already make sure that you reach out to your group and collect this information as soon as possible. If you need help, we can have forms to help you collect this info. In order to proceed with the tasting we need the following details preferably in a spreadsheet format. The information below is used for shipping updates and required by most shipping companies.
- First Name
- Last Name
Communicate shipping details to your group
Someone of legal drinking age must be present when the wine shipments arrive in order to sign for the package. Make sure you let all of your participants know this so that the shipment doesn’t get returned to the winery. In such a scenario, there may be additional fees or the winery may not be able to refund the purchase. If recipients are not able to be present at their house check to see if there is an office location or somewhere else that it can arrive.
