Central Valley Wine Tasting Deals

California’s Central Valley wine scene is spread across several pockets, including Lodi, the Sacramento area, and the Fresno region. It is generally more casual and affordable than the state’s headline wine destinations, with tasting rooms that put the focus on the wine rather than the ceremony around it. In Lodi, simple seated tastings can still start around the low teens, while many Central Valley winery flights fall roughly in the $10–$25 range.

Because the region covers a lot of territory, choose one area for the day instead of trying to connect distant stops. Lodi works especially well as a focused wine-tasting day, while Sacramento- and Fresno-area wineries are better grouped around where you are already staying. Two or three wineries is a comfortable pace. Check opening days before heading out, since smaller producers may not pour seven days a week.
