No wineries match that search.
You do not have to drive to Napa to spend a day in California wine country. Livermore Valley is one of the Bay Area’s easiest wine-tasting escapes, with vineyard estates, smaller family-run wineries, and urban tasting rooms all within reach of San Francisco and the East Bay. Standard Livermore wine tastings are often around $20–$40 per person, with premium seated experiences running higher. The region is compact enough to explore without spending the day in transit.
Two or three wineries is an easy pace, and many visitors can group their stops within the same part of Livermore Valley. Reservations are recommended for popular wineries and weekends, although some tasting rooms welcome walk-ins. If you are coming from San Francisco or elsewhere in the Bay Area, start earlier than you think you need to and build your route before you leave so traffic does not eat into tasting time.
