Wine tasting here is generally more affordable than in Napa, with many standard flights landing around $15–$30 per person, although pricing varies by winery and experience.

Lake County is spread out, so choose your wineries with driving time in mind. Two or three stops makes for an easy day, especially if you are moving between different sides of the lake or into the hills. Reservations are worth making for smaller properties, but the overall pace is usually less hectic than Napa or Sonoma.
